Daisy's Garden of Glee adventures!

My family and I were invited to stay at Loews Coronado Bay Resort which is a gorgeous bay side resort that sits on its own peninsula. As we drove up to the front, our doors were opened immediately by some nice staff members and bellhop helped with our luggage.

We walked in and couldn’t help but notice the magnificent bay side views. We checked in and to our surprise, all of the kids were given a game sheet for a scavenger hunt. The kids gleamed with excitement. Then after we checked in, the bellhop guided us to our room with a sort of tour along the way. He made sure that we knew where everything was like the upcoming activities and that Loews has a child center and a teen gaming room.

When we got to our room, the bellhop made sure we had everything we needed and showed us where the thermostat was and how to work the cable. He also handed us a map of our surroundings that was included in a pamphlet that had all sorts of fun information like, how to easily get to the beach, where to rent bikes, things to do, restaurants, 24/7 Market with a fully functional Starbucks in it and plenty of other exciting things that Loews has to offer.

Our suite was set up with milk and water on ice, the most amazing gourmet chocolate and butterscotch cookies that I have ever had, strawberries with dipping sides that included honey, sunflower seeds and lightly roasted coconut that my entire family enjoyed and devoured. We settled in and enjoyed the stunning views from every window of our bay-side suite and it was absolutely breathtaking.

My family and I walked over to the newly renovated lobby where the kids began their scavenger hunts. It helped us learn and discover various parts of Loews Coronado Bay Resort. The last place we went for their scavenger hunt was at the 24/7 Market and there they got a treat for finishing.

The newly renovated lobby is both exquisite and unique. It has a wide open feel to it with a variety of comfortable chairs and sofas for guests to meet up or to just hang out. The seating area in the lobby included a number of games for guests to play while relaxing. In addition Cays Lounge has a giant television set for guests to catch the game they also have an inviting terrace that is lovely for any occasion.

Going back to the lobby, I not only notice but loved the decorative glass spheres that delicately hung from the ceiling with a tasteful design, the staircase starts at opposite sides of the lobby and meets together at the top which is just the perfect touch of elegance which is the first picture on this article.

When we reached the top of the staircase there is an admirable lounge area again with sofas and lounge chairs. This view is amazing at all times especially at night where you can see reflections of lights on the water sparkle and dance.

My family and I went back to take a peak at the terrace.

The terrace is so inviting with its sophisticated look. There is an array of patio furniture that is sure to meet any ones needs. It has heating lamps and fire pit tables that keep you warm while you enjoy a night of relaxation or the company of others and indulge in the scenery and the ocean breeze. The terrace is also a perfect place for a wedding and/or reception. In addition, Loews offers special packages for different occasions.

My husband and I decided to experience the terrace and have a date night on our first night there. We walked to the lobby which has a bar area that offers inside and outside seating on the terrace which is a happening place later in the evening. My husband and I had a lot of fun talking, eating, catching up and enjoying each-others company while taking in the blissful environment that surrounded us.

Loews offers tons of activities for all ages and interests and they do a great job with having kid friendly events throughout the day. The events table can be easily found at the events table near the entrance to the lobby. Our favorite activity during our stay was the marshmallow roasting and S’mores making on the pool deck on one of the nights that we were there.

Loews has a number of pools from kids pools with in-water volleyball and basketball to an adult only pool. In addition there are a number of jacuzzis throughout the pool area and there is La Cantina for those who want to spend the day by the pool and enjoy food and beverages. Loews provides a number of noodles and kids pool toys to keep them busy. All around the pool area are a number of ping pong tables which can be played at no cost and with the number of tables there isn’t any wait.

Close to the pool you’ll find an outdoor basketball court and three tennis courts available to all guests. The resort offers all sorts of aquatics rentals available to rent. The rentals include kayaks, sail boats, paddle boats, paddle boards, Duffyboats and motor boats. Plus, they offer sailing, surfing and paddle board lessons. The rental facility also has bikes and scooters for rent. We had a great time renting the bikes for an hour and riding them around the resort, down the trails to the beach and around the bay for some spectacular views and lots of family fun.

Throughout the hotel there are tremendous unobstructed views of the water, as well as great natural landscaping which creates a peaceful relaxing feeling. The way the resort is situated away from everything else, it really creates a secluded relaxing feeling that you often don’t have when staying in a crowded hotel zone.

Loews also is a great place to have business conferences and has many beautiful presentation rooms that you can clearly see in the photo below.
