Daisy's Garden of Glee adventures!

We had such a great family day at Irvine Park Railroad. Out of the 8 years they have been having their Pumpkin Patch, we have been going for 5 of them. They have so much to offer; we love the train ride and how it goes through a big portion of the park it also goes through a sort of haunted tunnel. My kids love it every time we go. After our train ride, we decorated cookies. It was fun to see everyone’s creations before devouring them.

My son wanted to jump in the bounce house and this year he wasn’t afraid to jump as high as he could, that was fun to watch. Then came my favorite part and that was going to the many picture stands and sticking your head through. I love the one the cat and the witch. There are so many to choose from. I’m sure I could go on for days about those.

My son was drawn to the Hay Maze. It was interesting to see how he was able to find his way through so quickly. Now it was time for the Pony ride. My son couldn’t stop smiling, it was too adorable. As we walked along all of the beautiful picture stations, we discovered the face painting booth. My son got a pumpkin on his face, it was awesome. He looked so cute. Not to mention he got a lot of compliments.

Next was the Haunted House, don’t worry, it is definitely kid friendly and still a little spooky, my three year old had no problem going through it and still smiling at the end. He could not wait to see what we were going to do next.

We decided to walk through the back part of the park and rented a paddle boat. My family and I enjoyed that. It was nice to be on the water and taking in all of the laughter of my family and other families that were there at the park.

It was time to pep up and rent a bike. Wow, we could not stop laughing through the different obstacles that we would face. There was area that had a mild sized hill but we wanted to catch enough speed so it wouldn’t be too hard to get up. After all, we had 4 of us on the bike. The kids wanted some water and cotton candy while us adults wanted popcorn.

The hay ride was out front and loading there next set of passengers and I wanted to enjoy this ride before it was time to go. The ride went further back into the park than we have gone and we saw lots of parties such as birthday, family and friends gatherings. I didn’t know you were able to rent horse shoes and volleyball sets. How cool is that?! Plus, you can have BBQs rent horses and go to their zoo. I took notes on that and will be keeping it in mind for future events.

My three year old was exhausted at this point and it was time to pick out pumpkins. we all found the pumpkins that we liked and went to checkout. We also got to guess how big the pumpkin on a stand was. It was huge and if you guess how much it weighs, you get the pumpkin. I thought that was such a cute and fun idea.

If you are looking for a unique and fun way to spend the day with your family and friends, I would strongly encourage you to check Irvine Park Railroad out!

Thank you for having us! 🙂
